STEPHEN LUONGO

Chief Investment Officer

Stephen Luongo is AIR Asset Management's Chief Investment Officer responsible for managing the portfolio team and overseeing its investment and risk management. He is critical in developing and executing strategic initiatives, structuring and launching new investment products, and regularly interfacing with investors. Mr. Luongo is the Chair of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee, Investment Committee, Brokerage Committee, and Leadership Committee. He has over 40 years of banking, treasury, capital markets, and portfolio management experience. Before joining AIR Asset Management, Mr. Luongo was a Managing Director of Peregrine Asset Management. He managed multi-advisor hedge funds and was the portfolio manager for one of the first managed futures-based mutual funds. Before that, he was a Managing Partner for Columbus Global Advisors, L.L.C., a commodity trading advisor and commodity pool operator. He acquired his banking and capital markets experience by heading the financial institution's portfolio. He co-managed a $1B interest rate derivative portfolio as Vice President of capital markets at a Banque Paribas subsidiary, Credit du Nord. He began his career as a corporate lending officer to middle-market companies at the Central National Bank of New York. Mr. Luongo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and holds Series 3 and 30 registrations.
